Pique Fabric

Imitation cotton refers to fabric that resembles cotton but is made from synthetic fibers such as polyester or rayon.
These synthetic fibers are carefully engineered to mimic the look and feel of cotton, offering a cost-effective alternative to pure cotton.

Imitation cotton is typically manufactured through a chemical process where synthetic fibres are extruded, spun into yarn, and then woven into fabric. The production method enables manufacturers to control the texture, strength, and appearance of the fabric.

Knit pique is most commonly found in polo shirts, particularly for golfing. The fabric was popularized by the fashion brand Lacoste™, so much so that the name Lacoste™ is synonymous with the pique stitch.

Cotton pique is easy to clean. A home laundry will remove stains and odors easily.

Sorona fiber is an innovative form of polyester that was commercialized by DuPont and has been very successful since its introduction.
It combines the suppleness of nylon with the bulkiness of acrylic and the stain resistance that polyester possesses, as well as its intrinsic elasticity.

Pique fabric is created using a dobby loom. It is typically or knit and has patterns of fine ribbing or cording. Pique fabric differs from your standard jersey t-shirt as it has a textured, waffle weave look whereas jersey tees have smooth, flat surfaces. Knit piques oftentimes feature honeycomb or waffle weaves.
Material: Modal & polyester can heighten the fabric tensile strength and polyester also can make the fabric hairiness less than 100% modal.
