Bangladesh opens ICD and off dock sector to full foreign ownership
Bangladesh has allowed 100% foreign ownership in its Inland Container Depot (ICD) and off dock sector under a new policy announced in the FY2026–27 budget. The reform aims to attract global investment, expand logistics capacity, and improve trade efficiency.
The move is expected to encourage international logistics operators to invest in Bangladesh's supply chain infrastructure, helping reduce cargo handling bottlenecks and support export growth. Industry stakeholders believe the policy will strengthen the country's competitiveness as a global sourcing and manufacturing destination while enhancing overall logistics performance.
